100 days in office: Ijede LCDA ends communal clashes, commission project, sworn-in exco members, set to build new council office

The 7 years long communal clash between Ijede and Egbin communities in Ikorodu has come to an end as the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area, Hon. Salisu Fatiu Jimoh brought together over 500 members of different confraternity cult groups in both communities to renounce their membership for the peace of the state to commemorate his 100 days in office and commensurate the unrelentless effort of His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode in ensuring peace and tranquility in the state. He later handed over pump riffles, locally made guns, axes, matchets and other weapons voluntarily submitted by these groups to the Lagos state commissioner of police, Mr Edgar Imohimi who appreciated the effort of the council chairman and urged members of the public to cooperate with the police in bringing peace to domains.
On Monday 6th November 2017, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA commissioned a borehole project at Etita in Ijede community as part of the social contract signed by his administration and the public. The paramount rulers in the community The Regent of Ijede, Chief Musediku, Obateru of Egbin, HRM Oba (Dr.) Abdulakeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, their chiefs, party stalwarts, youths, members of the public were all present at the super event.
The council boss who at the early hours of the day sworn-in his executive members at the secretariat complex as follows, Mr Olanbiwonnu Olakunle as Secretary to the Local Government, Mrs Ajayi Abiodun Sherifat as Supervisor for works and infrastructure, Prince Bello Ganiu Folagbade Adesegun as Supervisor for Educucation, Mrs Kuye Falilat Omotunde as Supervisor for Women Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Fesomu Kehinde Hasanat as Supervisor for Agric, Rural and chieftaincy, Mr Quadri Sarafadeen Gbolahan clinched Supervisor for Youth and sport while the Vice Chairman, Hon Motunrayo Gbadebo will handle Environment and Health. He then admonished them to work in the interest of the electorate so as to bring the true dividend of democracy to the public as fulfilling the social contracts signed during electioneering is paramount.
The grand finale of the 100 days in office was the ground breaking of the proposed Ultra Modern Secretariat Complex by Hon. Fatiu which will be another remarkable achievement upon completion.
