The Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode celebrated the completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan in Lagos on Sunday 25th June, 2017 to commemorate with the entire Muslim faithful in Lagos State.

The celebration took place simultaneously in all the 20 Local Government Areas in the state while Governor Ambode prayed for the peaceful coexistence of Lagosians at Ifako-Ijaiye Mini Stadium in Ifako-Ijaiye LGA with Hon. Olaitan Akinwunmi, member House of Representative, LAHA members Hon. Saka Fafunmi, Hon. TPL. Rasheed Makinde, the Sole Administrators of Ifako-Ijaiye Hon. Babatunde Rajh Label and that of Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Dr. Waleeh Adeleke Ipaye with other dignitaries.
Mr. Ambode speaking at the event urged Muslims to continue with all the good deeds of the Holy Month even after Ramadan, embrace peace and unity among their neighbors so as to continue to enjoy the bounty of Almighty Allah. He further said that Lagos will continue to witness unprecedented development as his administration is for the people and not for self.

The Sole Administrator of Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Dr. Waleeh Adeleke Ipaye on the other hand appreciated the Governor for celebrating with Ifako-Ijaiye and Ojokoro people and also give kudos to the performing governor for the commissioning of Abule Egba bridge.

He continued, “Wo (see)! come to Abule Egba at night then you will understand what I mean. I doff my cap for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving us Governor Akinwumi Ambode. Asiwaju is just too brilliant, I respect him so much and I will always be loyal to him because he is God sent to this continent”.
