The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) is not relenting at ensuring the residents of the LCDA lives conveniently and comfortable most importantly now that the weather is a bit friendly for construction works.
Hon. HID Tijani who began the construction of drainage for the people of Shodehinde Street in the council area to avert flood and heavy downpour disaster in that area has said the people of the LCDA will continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy as fulfilling the social contracts signed by his administration is very important.
The head of the construction firm (Veracity Integrated Engineering Limited), Engr. Oyetunji Tajudeen made known that the people of Shodehinde Street were cooperative with the contractors and engineers working on the site and has assured that the project would be completed shortly.
“We will complete this project very soon, but the only set back we are having now is from Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) who has promised to come and help us with the repositioning of electric poles that are on the drainage lane”, Engr. Oyetunji said.
A community leader in the area and political stalwart, Alhaji Saibu Adelaja, while speaking with news men said, “the project upon completion will improve the free flow of water after downpour and other issues relating to flood will be a thing of the past.”
