2023 Agenda: I was not invited to the Speakers meeting – Ekiti State Speaker


The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye has he was not aware of any meeting of the speakers in the southwestern part of the county to drum support for the National Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition for 2023.

In an earlier report, the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa called the meeting of past and incumbent Speakers at the state house of assembly in the southwest.

The meeting was held in Ibadan and twenty members were in attendance. During an interview with the Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye, he made known that he was not invited to the meeting not aware of the meeting.

“I’m not aware of any meeting, neither was I invited to any such meeting. I can therefore not speak to any meeting I’m not privy or invited to”, Afuye said.

During the meeting, the conveyor Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa urged members present to go back to their various constituency and set up a working template for the actualization of the BAT Agenda.

According to The National Coordinator, BAT Movement, Ambassador Aliyu Saulawa, “it’s time for power should shift to the South-West in 2023”, and nothing that Tinubu should be the next president.
