Experienced Sociologist, Anuoluwa Imole Openiyi, who is also a Social Research and Survey expert cum Policymaker has in recent times been recognized, appreciated and honoured with different awards of appreciation for his contributions towards Global Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
These award appreciations seem to have come the way of the recipient as a result of his ever-active role in society in terms of his contributions in achieving and attaining UN SDGs in Nigeria.
This is evident in the work roles and volunteering activities of Mr. Anuoluwa Openiyi. Professionally, Mr. Anuoluwa happened to be a Research and Development Supervisor and Policymaker in a Government organization in Lagos, Nigeria.
He has been coordinating, directing, supervising a team of Social Research experts in conducting social researches and surveys which has birthed several public policies and social welfare in areas which include; Quality and Inclusive Primary and Secondary Education, Accessibility to Primary Health Care; Maternal and Child Health (Ante-natal care services), Economic Sustainability, Youth and Women Economic Empowerment, and Food Systems and Sustainability.
Also, Mr. Anuoluwa Openiyi is a Volunteer who has been using his volunteering skills to contribute to some of the Global SDGs in areas such as; SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good and Health Well Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 16 ( Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) as well as SDG 17 (Partnership for The Goals).
He is an active Volunteer for Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Leap Africa, Junior Chamber International Nigeria, Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative, and a host of the NGOSs and community service initiatives. In August 2020, Mr. Anuoluwa was among hundreds of youths in Nigeria who participated actively in 2020 International Youth Day of Service. He was also given a volunteer certificate for his active participation in the 2020 United Nations International Youth Day of Service
