Ambode establishes new Microfinance bank in Lagos


The governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has kept another of his campaign promises to the people of Lagos which is to create job opportunities, jobs and improve standard of living in the state.


The State Government has established a new Microfinance Bank called IBILE MFB so as to make loans available to the residence of the state that intends to do business or increase the scope of their business, reduce poverty and creates employments for the people of the state.


The Commissioner for finance, Mr. Akinleye Ashade speaking at the inauguration of the bank made known that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is a man of his words as he is committed to making life better for  Lagosians. He further said IBILE MFB would improve the activities of Micro, Medium, Small scale businesses.





The Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Adegboyega Kazeem said the modus operandi of the bank will improve state’s development and the standard of living of the people.


It is imperative to know that IBILE MFB is the actual disbursement machinery of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, established by the state governor with N25bn to finance 100,000 SMEs.
