Edo election: We are confident to win - APC NWC

The National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has expressed confidence towards the forthcoming election in Edo state. Speaking on a popular television programme Journalist Hangout on TVC during a live phone session put across to the NWC representative of the Ag. Chairman of the party and the National Vice Chairman (South-South), Hilliard Eta.

Responding to questions concerning the forthcoming election in Edo, Eta spoke confidently that the All Progressive Congress will win the forthcoming election in the state.

“We are confident in the work we have done and this we know”, he said.

He continued on the impact of the party to the development of Edo State, the people of the State and how the party has been able to put Edo on a better pedestal.

Eta said, “if you look at the history of Edo, Edo has always been a state of the progressive and that day the people of Edo will speak in and vote the party of their choice”.

When planning for victory, it is advisable to prepare for the worst. When asked if not scared or worried about PDP taking the lead in the Edo election as the incumbent is no longer a member of the party.

He responded saying, incumbency does not assures winning in any election as the governor being the governor as at the time of the election does not take the victory away from the All Progressive Congress in the state.

In his response, “although it is our business to worry about the election”, he said.

On the authentic National Working Committee Chairman of the APC, Hilliard Eta categorically stated that the NWC Ag. Chairman remains Senator Abiola Ajimobi who he is standing in for.

“I want to categorically say that Senator Abiola Ajimobi is the Ag. Chairman of the National Working Committee of our party, the All Progressive Congress (APC)”, he said.
