The Iju Divisional police station popularly called Red House in Iju, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government received the magnanimity of *Hon Adewale Temitope Adedeji’s* 10m Naira Relief Fund Committee, as it gets a massive renovation of its facility and provisions of essential materials that would further enhance the productivity and efficiency of the officers.

The committee led by the duo of Pst Opajobi And Engr Dada had previously gone on an assessment visit to the station in other to ascertain and quantify the level of work to be done.

They, however, swung into action by replacing the damaged and dilapidated roof zinc, painting of the entire building, renovation of the officers changing room, the Chapel and the gatehouse.

The committee did not stop at that but went further to make provision for portable mattresses, Air-conditioned systems, Metal Safe, Tables, Executive Chairs for the office of the DPO and DCO, Standing fan, Double resting chairs and other items for the use of the officers while on duty.

The items were presented to the DPO by the relief fund Committee on Saturday evening. The DPO, Mr Stephen Gbenga while receiving the items thanked Hon. Temitope Adewale, the community and the committee for their magnanimity, selflessness and commitment to the police community. He promised to ensure that everything that has been donated to them is kept intact, while he promised a proper inventory that would make accountability possible.

You will recall that Hon Adewale Temitope Adedeji immediately after the ethnic crisis at Fagba constituted a committee to oversee a 10m Naira Relief Fund to alleviate the loss of those whose property and businesses were affected in the incident.

Three widows who lost their husbands were also supported to help in the immediate need of their families.

The committee has been doing a fantastic job as their activities are done without any form of secrecy.
