The Executive Governor of Niger State Governor, Ababakar Bello continue to lament the neglect of the Federal Government on efforts and commitment of the state government to ensure the security and return of the abducted 27 abducted and 15 staffs of Government Science College in the Kagara area of the state.
The governor said this during Senator Orji Uzo Kalu’s visit to commensurate with the state on the sad occurrence. Noting that the government has not been committed in the quest to get back the victims from their abductors.
“At the moment, we do not feel any Federal presence here”, he said.
While speaking on the Nigerian Police Force effort, he noted that the Inspector General of Police had sent in four mobile units to the state which Niger state will be liable for all its needs and all logistics.
“The Inspector-General of Police sent us four mobile units but we are to shoulder the financial responsibilities. So, where is the support? There is no support from anyone”, Bello said.
He further said that the Federal Government earlier sent in delegates to commensurate with the state on the incident.
“Yes, we had a delegation that came to visit and commiserate with us but that was all. So, we are left to ourselves.”
Governor Bello further said that the state will not rest his hoax to ensure the safe return of the students and the abducted staffs.
“We have already made a commitment that we will bring back the children safely with or without anyone,” the governor added.
