The Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources has awarded Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) the Cleanest Primary Health Care Centre in the state. The Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) alongside the Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Oladipupo Coker received the First Runner Up Award for the council as presented by the state.
The Council Boss in his remark noted that he is only doing what he knew how to do best especially when it comes to the wellbeing of the good people of his constituency in the area of health and environment among others.
It will be recalled that Hon. HID Tijani has commenced another phase of desilting of drainage in the council area coupled with the fact that the council boss has continued to clear all refuse back spots while kicking against indiscriminate dumping in the council area for several years.
In his remarks, “the reward for hard work is more work and this has just told me to work harder in this local government and to continue to strive as regards our environment. We are presently desilting drainages across the LCDA all the seven wards just as the grading of our road is ongoing”, HID Tijani said.
“Let me use this medium to sound a note of warning to those dumping refuse indiscriminately and to those who derive pleasure in activities that block our drainages to quit immediately because the government will not take it likely with any erring member of the community is found wanting”, HID Tijani concluded.
The Vice-Chairman, Hon. Oladipupo Coker and Hon. Florence Lawal further congratulated the council boss for a job well done.
