Mushin LG partners armed forces for optimal security


The Nigeria Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, has declared its readiness to partner with Mushin Local Government to maintain security within its locality.

Speaking at his familiarisation visit to the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, the new Commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal M. Adamu Idris, affirmed that it is part of their responsibilities as security agencies to help secure the territory of their host community.

The Commandant also expressed his appreciation to the Executive Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Bamigboye for the cordial relationship he maintained with his predecessors and the various infrastructural projects executed by the Bamigboye led administration in the centre at various times.

The team also comprised of the following officers:
– Air Commodore Oladega (Director of Admin)
– Air Commodore Babalola (Director of Coordination)
– Colonel K.A Umoh (Deputy Dir. of Admin)
– Navy Captain Olorogun (Deputy Dir. of Training
– Lieutenant. Commander Yohana (Central Public Relations Officer)
– Lieutenant Commander Jaja (Commanding Officer – Provost),
– Flight Lieutenant Wale (ADC)
– Marshal Warrant Officer Olushola
– Members of NAFRC media team

On his part, the chairman expressed appreciation to the Commandant for his visit and promised to sustain the relationship between the two institutions.

While opening his hands of fellowship, AVM Adamu Idris,  volunteered to offer admissions to the youths of Mushin for training at the NAFRC Training Institute which has 41 different Skills Acquisition programmes. He also promised to explore agriculture as an alternative source of income for livelihood for his people.

The Commandant finally offered to help train the youths on self defense strategies for protection.

He however appreciates the Lagos State government for allocating some lands to them for agriculture.

The NAFRC team was received and welcomed by the entire council which also included, Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe, Vice Chairman, Hon. Olamide Williams, House Leader, Hon. Muritala Oyeniyi, Deputy Leader, Hon. Mrs. Olubunmi Gbadamosi, Council Secretary, Mr Adesina Osikoya Sogo, Council Manager, Mr Babatunde Alli-Balogun, Head of Human Resource, Councillors, Supervisors and Heads of Departments.
