NDDC SAGA: They want to kill me – Barr. Joy Nunieh


The former acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh who appeared before the house of representatives committee on NDDC, testifying on the alleged misappropriation of funds in the agency few days ago is under threat and trail.

The lawyer took to her Facebook page on Friday calling on Nigerians and others to continue to join her in prayers as she fights impunity and corruption in the NDDC even if she will have to pay the ultimate price.


It is a known fact that Joy has opened several cans of worm which has not gone down well with some big political gladiator in the country.


It is on record that nearly 24hr to her testimonial at the floor of the house to speak on several allegations against the Minister of NDDC Senator Godswill Akpabio that her house was bugged by unknown policemen who came to whisk her away.


It took the intervention of the Executive Governor of Cross Rivers State, Wike to save her from being taken away by unknown men.


Barr. Joy is now on traill and according to her, she revealed again that her life is in danger of saying what she knew about NDDC and how money is being spent.

“My life is in danger. They are trying everything possible to kill me but I trust God to protect me always. Even if they succeed, my legacy will live on forever. They can block all my bank accounts, doctor and monitor all my phone lines, send spies to trace me but they can not scare me to speak the truth. With the assistance and prayers of well-wishers, I’ll sail through. I thank you all”, she wrote on her Facebook page.
