The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) has said plans are already in place to upgrade two of the Primary Health Centres (PHC) in the LCDA to ultra-modern facilities.
He made this known during the working visit of Hon. Akeem Sokunle, the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly House Committee of Health and his team members to the LCDA’s PHCs.
It is worthy of note that the HID Tijani led administration in the last four years reconstructed the popular Isokan PHC to an ultra-modern health centre and HID is keen on ensuring the good people get quality health care.
“My plan for Kola PHCs and Abule-Titun in this dispensation is to upgrade it to a state of the earth health facility. A look at Isokan will tell you what we have in stock”, HID said.
He further seek the support of the House Committee on Health to join the council in soliciting more health personnel and medical equipment that will power the PHCs in Ojokoro as a whole.
“Sir, on behalf of the good people of Ojokoro LCDA, I urge you to assist us to plead our case with the ministry of health to get more personnel and equipment for our Primary because we still need more staff to meet what we desire for our people.
The Chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon. Akeem Sokunle commended HID Tijani on the reconstruction of Isokan PHC and the 24hrs service operation at Kola PHC.
He further encouraged the Council boss on his plans for the people of Ojokoro as there is nothing quantifiable to adequate health care service.
Also present at the visitation are members of the House Committee on Health, management team of Ojokoro LCDA ably led by the Council Manager, Mr. Adeyemi Adebola, Leader of the Legislative arm, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle and some other senior members of staff in the LCDA.
