“We shall support in any area to rid Oto-Awori LCDA of heinous crimes and promote activities that will reduce and combat drug abuse”
The above is the submission of of the Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa when the NDLEA Area Commander, Mr Oke Semayi in company of his deputy, Mrs Olajumoke Jolaogun and their team paid him a courtesy visit today in his office.
In his words, the essence of promoting initiatives that will bring to the barest minimum drug abuse related activities could not have come at a better time than this.
He reiterated that the society can not cope with the consequences of drug addiction and other related matter, most especially the ones that is capable of affecting the psyche of persons.

“The identification and prevention of substance abuse should not be taken with kids gloves; though things are getting out of hand but the most effective way to combat drug abuse is before it starts”, he buttressed.
According to him, this issue has become a societal one; he added that the leadership of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency( NDLEA) has been proactive in recent times.
“I want to commend their effort and steadfastness in the pursuit of a saner society; it is important to work hand in hand with the agency so as to achieve a greater result and we will continue to do all it takes to encourage them”, he stipulated.
Responding, the Area Commander in his acknowledgement noted
the effort of the Chairman in previous events, he however, sought for more support and collaboration most especially in re-sensitizing the public of the Council area.
