The Lags State Police Command has warned its personnel to desist from activities that could tarnish the image of the security operatives while discharging or off duties.

This is coming after the state command arrested the cop who allegedly shot his ex-lover, Joy Eze, at Opebi, Ikeja.
The suspect, Sergeant Eze Aiwansone, attached to the Special Protection Unit (SPU) Base 16, Ikeja, was alleged to have shot the victim on October 8 after inviting her on a date.

The Police spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement Thursday evening that the suspect fled after committing the crime but was arrested by his brother who is an Inspector of Police and handed over to the command.
“The State CID Panti has taken over the case on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, for further investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police has warned police personnel in Lagos State to desist from any act that can tarnish the image of the police, and be committed to the principles of Community Policing for better service delivery and public safety in the state,” said Adejobi.
