Rotary Club of Alagbado, Mende Midtown plan trees in Lagos community


In a bid to curb the adverse effect of the change in the ecosystem, Rotary Club of Alagbado and Mende Midtown planted trees to save the planet earth on Saturday, 6th August 2022 at Lagos Muslim International School in Ojokoro area of Lagos.

The Imagine President of Rotary Club of Alagbado, Rotarian Yekinni Razaq Adeyemi at the project site handed over the planted trees to the school management and urged them to nurture, protect and secure for the good of all, the benefit of mankind and the goodies of the students”, Yekinni said.

“We are Rotarians and what we do is doing good across our world and one among the hundreds of goods we do is to save our ecosystem with tree planting and that we have done here today”, Razaq concluded.

Furthermore, the Imagine President of Mende Midtown, Femi Emmanuel in his address noted that self-help is the best help and one of the ways we can is to provide for ourselves what we can”, Femi said.

Present at the event is Hon. Fasasi Olatunbosun, the Chief Whip of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area,  Legislative Arm also planted one of the trees. He further called on other clubs and groups to join Rotary and make the world a better place for all.

The representative of school management, Mrs. Aguda Habdulai further appreciate the kind gesture of the Rotary Clubs and assured the proper care of the trees.
