Teachers Day: A great teacher is better than thousands of personal diligent study – Hon. Temitope Adewale

Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Ifako-ijaiye Constituency 01 who also doubled as the Chairman, House Committee on Transportation celebrated the world teachers day as he wrote an open letter to all the teachers in his constituency titled: “Better Than A Thousand Days Of Diligent Study Is One Day With A Great Teacher”.

In his letter, he noted that thousands of days with diligent study is less effective to a day with a great teacher. In his words, “I celebrate all Teachers in Ifako-ijaiye Local government and Nigeria at large for their drive, commitment, struggles and determination in awakening our Children by giving them sound education”.
He further said that teachers’ day is a special day for parents, guardians, all and sundry should set aside to appreciate the good job done by teachers. As this has improved the lives of millions of children in the world today and still counting.

“Teachers’ Day is a special day for the appreciation of our teachers for their special contributions in grooming our children for a better tomorrow and bringing sanity to our community in general”, he continued.

“William Arthur Ward says; the mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. It is obvious that the breeds of teachers in Ifako-ijaiye Local Government are Superior and the best”.

“I thank all the teachers in Ifako-ijaiye Local Government for inspiring hope, igniting imagination and instiling love of learning in our children. Thank you for being an awakener, Thank you for contributing to community development, thank you for all you do”.
While concluding his words to commensurate the teachers’ day, he prayed that the struggle and commitments of the teachers shall not be in vain.

“On this special day, I just wanted to let you know that you are one of the best creatures created by God and that your struggles will not be in vain by God infinite Mercy”, Hon. Temitope concluded.
