The Polytechnic Ibadan resumes activities, ask students to get set

The Polytechnic Ibadan (TPI) has called on staffs of the institution to resume back to duties in preparation for the students and other academic activities of the institution whose date will be announced on a later day.

This was contained in a statement released by the Registrar of the institution, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale and made public by the school public relation officer Mr. Soladoye Adewole via his Facebook page on Sunday.

The statement by TPI which was signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale calls all Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, all Non- Teaching staff on Grade levels 11-14 (eleven to fourteen) as well as those on essential duties are to resume on Monday, August 24th 2020 from 8:00 am.

The resumption is to ensure that adequate preparations are put in place for the school’s re-opening and attention given to academic-related issues on ground.

“All Staff are to wear face masks, use sanitizers/ wash hands regularly and maintain social distance measures in accordance to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Federal Ministries of Health and Education regulations”, the statement reads in part.

THE POLYTECHNIC IBADAN (TPI) DIRECTS SENIOR STAFF TO RESUME FOR DUTIES
The Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan (TPI) has directed senior staff of the institution to resume for duties effective from Monday 24th August at 8:00 a.m. as part of preparations for students’ resumption at a date to be announced later.

According to a statement by TPI, signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale, all Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, all Non- Teaching staff on Grade levels 11-14 (eleven to fourteen) as well as those on essential duties are affected by this directive.

This resumption is to ensure that adequate preparations are put in place for the school’s re-opening and attention given to academic related issues on ground.

The statement enjoined all Staff to wear face masks, use sanitizers/ wash hands regularly and maintain social distance measures in accordance to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Federal Ministries of Health and Education regulations.

The statement also noted that other staff who are not in the category of those resuming may be called at any time if their services are required.
