WAEC announces change on exam time-table again

WAEC Final timetable is out

Following continued uncertainty of events in the country, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced change in its time table for the second series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for private candidates.

The examination body in a statement on its twitter handle signed by the WAEC Head of Public Affair, Demianus Ejijogun on Monday, said the examination which was scheduled to hold on November 14, will now hold on Monday, November 30, 2020.

The statement reads, “The West African Examinations Council, Nigeria, wishes to inform all registered candidates for WASSCE cor private candidates, second series and the general public that there has been a change in time table.”

“The examination which initially schedeuled to commence on Saturday, November 14, 2020, will no longer hold as planned due to circumstances beyond our control. The examination has now been rescheduled to commence on Monday, November 30, 2020.”

“The council wishes to reassures candidates that the new time table for the conduct of the examination will be released soon.”

It would be recalled that the examination body had earlier announced extension of the deadline for registration of the examination till November 13, 2020.

“WASSCE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES, 2020 – SECOND SERIES: FURTHER EXTENSION OF REGISTRATION PERIOD”

“Intending candidates should note that there has been a further extension of the registration period to Friday, November 13, 2020,” WAEC tweeted last Friday, November 6, 2020.
